Alan Gan
Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund
Chef Alan Gan has over twenty years of experience in Chinese cuisine. He began his career at Lei Garden in Beijing and held executive roles at MGM Cotai’s “Chun” in Macau, Chao Shang Chao in Beijing, and as Executive Chinese Chef at several hotels across China.
Since April 2023, he has led the kitchen at Wei Jing Ge, Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund. Under his leadership, the restaurant has earned multiple awards, including Hotel Style Awards – Outstanding Executive Chef (2025), GOGO Lifestyle Awards – Restaurant Chef of the Year (2026), and TimeOut New Life Awards – Hotel Chinese Restaurant of the Year (2025).
