Chef Craig Willis began his career in Australia at iconic Sydney restaurants including Bennelong and Bilson’s, before arriving in Shanghai in 2000 to cook at M on the Bund. In 2009, he opened mr willis on Anfu Lu, followed by La Strada, Henkes, Bang, BOR eatery (Time Out Chef of the Year & Restaurant of the Year), and three venues at the former Wukang Lu market: Something, Junn Izakaya, and Mi Mian Hui Xin.

Craig is the first Australian in China appointed a Friend of Australia by Tourism Australia and an MLA True Aussie Beef & Lamb Ambassador. In 2024, he was named Shanghai F&B Legend. His restaurants are recommended in the Louis Vuitton City Guide to Shanghai. He is a longtime supporter of You Dao Foundation, Bao Bei Foundation, and Lifeline.
