Nicolo Rotella
8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA
Chef Nicolo Rotella’s culinary journey began in childhood, finishing his homework in the kitchen of his father’s restaurant in Turin, Italy. That early fascination led him to the Italian Chefs Association culinary program.
After graduation, Rotella refined his skills across Italy, mastering seafood and traditional cuisine under talented chefs. A pivotal role as Junior Sous Chef at the two-Michelin-starred Il Sorriso was followed by a position at Il Piccolo Lago, where he worked under Chef Marco Sacco, building a solid foundation in modern techniques alongside a team of top talents.
In summer 2023, Rotella brought his passion and energy to 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA in Shanghai, which was recognized by GreatList guide.
