Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai
Born in Sicily, Chef Riccardo La Perna has spent nearly two decades as a leading ambassador for Italian cuisine in Asia. His philosophy—“The Luxury of Simplicity”—is built on rigorous sourcing of seasonal ingredients and precise Mediterranean technique.
In Shanghai, he led 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA to two Michelin stars in the city’s inaugural guide, becoming the only Italian chef outside Italy to hold two stars for several years.
In 2025, he joined the Prada Group to open Mi Shang at Prada Rong Zhai, collaborating with Wong Kar‑wai to create a dining experience that blends Sicilian heritage with Shanghai’s avant‑garde spirit and Prada’s timeless elegance.
