Restaurant 1929 by Guillaume Galliot
Opened in early 2025, 1929 by Guillaume Galliot occupies the historic Jinbei Building—formerly the Cathay Mansion, constructed in 1929 within the legendary Jinjiang Hotel complex. The restaurant is a collaboration between the onefifteen brand and celebrated French chef Guillaume Galliot, known for his three-Michelin-star tenure at Caprice in Hong Kong.
The soaring dining room, with arched walls nearly three stories high and large lattice windows, strikes a balance between historical grandeur and contemporary elegance. The interior blends 1920s Shanghai charm—teak floors, vintage wooden armchairs—with modern French refinement. An open kitchen features an eight-seat chef’s table, while upstairs, a 1920s-style cocktail salon offers a more intimate bar experience.
