Bar Speak Low

The bar is hidden behind a sliding bookshelf inside OCHO, a seemingly ordinary bartending equipment shop on Middle Fuxing Road. Finding the secret door—a bookshelf panel that slides open—is part of the ritual. Once inside, you climb a narrow staircase into a multi-floor experience where each level has its own distinct personality.
The second floor is a vibrant, high-energy space with a polished copper-top bar and a lively, house-party atmosphere.
The third floor offers a more refined, intimate setting with a Japanese-inspired cocktail menu. Signature drinks here include the eponymous Speak Low, which pays homage to the Japanese tea ceremony with a base of matcha-infused rum, and the Café for Geisha.
The fourth floor is a members-only space reserved for private events and VIP guests, showcasing rare whiskies and an opulent, discreet ambiance.
