Cafe VERIE Bakehouse
Located in Xintiandi Style II, VERIE Bakehouse is the first independent project of pastry chef Frédéric Jaros, formerly the pastry chef at two-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio Shanghai. The name VERIE draws from "Viennoiserie"—the French art of puff pastry—and the bakery’s acronym captures its philosophy: Viennoiserie, Effortless, Refined, Inspiring, Everyday.
The cream-toned bakery occupies a glass-walled corner with open production windows, allowing passersby to watch pastry chefs at work. Awnings shade the spacious outdoor terrace—perfect for sunny mornings. The space is dog-friendly and opens daily from 8:00 AM
