Bar Le Bouchon
Founded in 1997, Wine&Dine Le Bouchon is one of Shanghai’s oldest and most beloved French restaurants, quietly tucked away on Wuding West Road near Jiangsu Road. The name “Bouchon” refers to traditional Lyon-style bistros—warm, convivial, and built around good food and excellent wine.
Housed in a standalone villa with a distinctive Art Nouveau-inspired facade, the restaurant feels like stepping into a French country home. Red-and-white gingham tablecloths, fresh flowers, framed photographs of the chef, and scattered pig figurines (the restaurant’s unofficial mascot) create a setting that is intimate, unpretentious, and genuinely romantic. The ground floor serves as the main dining room and bar, while the second floor opens onto a small terrace with cozy seating—perfect for warm summer evenings.
