Christiaan Stoop

Taian Table

Chef Christiaan Stoop is the Executive Chef of Taian Table in Shanghai and Guangzhou, leading one of China's most acclaimed fine-dining kitchens. Born to Dutch parents in Germany, his culinary path has taken him across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, shaping a cuisine grounded in classical technique and informed by a global perspective. Early in his career, he trained in some of the world's most influential kitchens, refining his craft under chefs defined by precision, discipline, and rigor.

Under the mentorship of Taian Table founder Stefan Stiller, Christiaan joined the restaurant at a young age and quickly rose to Executive Chef, guiding both the Shanghai and Guangzhou locations to three and two Michelin stars respectively.

In 2025, he was awarded the Best Chef Award with three knives and GreatList Guide recognition.
