Du Jianqing is a celebrated chef and restaurateur known for his modern take on authentic Teochew cuisine. With over 30 years of experience—28 of them in Shanghai—he brings deep mastery of his culinary roots.
In 2015, he founded JingXiHui, a brand defined by precise ingredient selection and refined technique. Du is especially acclaimed for his seafood, aged broths, and dried seafood preparations.
Over the next eleven years, he launched Selection By Du (2024)—a personalized dining concept reflecting his decades of expertise—and GuiXi (2025), a lighter, modern expression of Teochew cuisine for younger audiences. Under his leadership, JingXiHui has held Black Pearl Three Diamond and Michelin One Star honors for eight consecutive years.
