Chef Michael Janczewski has over a decade of experience across modern Polish, Chinese, French, and Mediterranean cuisine. In Hong Kong, he worked at Ho Lee Fook and Belon (Michelin star, No. 4 Asia’s 50 Best). In Shanghai, he opened Canton Disco at The EDITION (Black Pearl One Diamond) and Juke, a neo‑bistro in the French Concession.
In 2022, he launched Bastard, a modern Chinese eatery inspired by regional flavors, now a defining voice in Shanghai’s dining scene. In 2025 it was recognised by GreatList Guide.
